Seven heroes and demigods are your PCs. Every god, monster, creature, and named entity
from all 17 pantheons walks the world as NPC, ally, enemy, or bystander.
The full multiplanar DDG universe — faithfully run.

◆ PC Rules

7 PCs drawn by RNG from all Heroes & Demigods (57 entities). Full DDG stat blocks. Permadeath enforced. Each PC is an autonomous AI agent acting on alignment & mythology.

◈ NPC Encounters

Every DDG entity — Greater Gods, Lesser Gods, monsters, creatures, Cthulhu beings, Nonhuman deities — can appear as NPC, ally, rival, or enemy. Their stat blocks are used exactly as written.

✦ Divine Politics

Gods do not fight directly if avoidable. They send champions, issue divine commands, offer bargains, and manipulate through clerics. Alignments govern all NPC behavior strictly.

⚔ Combat Rules

AD&D mechanics. Attack rolls vs AC. Saving throws on 1 (fail) to 20 (pass). Gods save on 2+ in all categories. All damage and HP changes tracked explicitly every round.

✧ Standard Divine

All gods/demigods: Command, Comprehend Languages, Detect Alignment, Gate (same mythos), Geas (9" range), Quest (9" range, no save), Teleport, True Seeing — all at-will unless noted.

⚖ Awe & Horror

Divine beings with CH 19+ impose Awe Power on non-divine creatures. Negative CH gods impose Horror — a compulsion to kill the being on sight. Both affect PCs at reduced strength.

STANDARD DIVINE ABILITIES

All gods & demigods possess at-will: Command (2 rds LG / 3 rds GG), Comprehend Languages, Detect Alignment, Gate (same mythos only), Geas (9" range), Quest (9", no save), Teleport, True Seeing.

SAVING THROWS

Gods/demigods fail saves only on a natural 1 (d20). Heroes use class-based saves. All saving throws are explicit in each round.

DIVINE INTERVENTION

First request by a cleric in extremis: 10% chance deity appears. -5% each prior intervention. +25% if serving deity's direct will. Gods prefer sending servants to appearing personally.

NPC GOD BEHAVIOR

Gods never fight if they can avoid it. They: (1) Teleport away, (2) Send a champion, (3) Issue divine commands, (4) Only fight as absolute last resort. Their ego is proportional to their power.

CROSS-PANTHEON RULE

Gods from different pantheons regard each other with wariness or indifference. Ancient enmities (Set vs Osiris, Ares vs Athena, Loki vs Odin) override all alliances automatically.
